NL25-AQs line check
I love these hands but was i too aggressive? with the overlay right to push? Anyone re-raise pre-flop here, i just feel im re-raising so often lately but then i guess the down points which come due to harder decisions will be made up by my big hands being paid off.

Re: NL25-AQs line check
As pointed out in another thread, you push these draws to maximize fold equity. The problem is that I don't think you have any fold equity here. Villian either has an overpair or a set, so is likely calling your push.
That being said: [ QUOTE ] Board: 6h 8d 2d Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 42.9917 % 42.99% 00.00% { AdQd } Hand 2: 57.0083 % 57.01% 00.00% { AA, KcKd, QQ-88, 66, 22 } [/ QUOTE ] Still looks +EV here. |

Re: NL25-AQs line check
hmm...this is an interesting one.
You're out of position, so I like the call PF. You are a 2:1 dog against AA (although we have no reason to put him on AA), you are near 1:1 against KK and QQ, and are slight favorite against JJ, TT. I guess I don't see the value in donking, I think I'd rather see a c/r. If he does have an overpair, which is likely, let's make him see you demonstrate strength with a c/r, rather than enabling him to make a raise for value. If you want to really put the pressure, you can get it all-in with a c/r all-in. Give him really poor odds to call. Since he's short-stacked, he's really only calling $10.50 against a $24.50 pot. You are giving him 2.3 to 1 odds on a hand where he's like either at 2:1 favorite or a 1:1. If you c/r, the odds are a bit different. On the turn, the pot will be $3, he will likely bet $3, you now raise to $18.50, putting him all-in. In this scenario, he's now calling $15.50 to win $21.50 or around 1.38 to 1 odds. Just my thoughts. |
