NFL Sunday Ticket Beat
I moved to NYC, and tried to order the NFL Sunday ticket to watch the Patriots games. NFL and Timewarner are having some huge fight and I can't get it unless I have Directv, which my apartment building won't allow.
Anyone know any good bars in NYC (preferably near Gramercy, but whatever) to watch Patriots games? |

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket Beat
Not that this helps you any, but here's a good link to save for the rest of the season. Shows what games are going to be played in each region.

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket Beat
DirectTicket has been on Direct TV only for a long while now, I'm in the same boat and I don't want to deal with Direct TV since it doesn't have on-demand and you need an in-line phone to use it.

Sunday Ticket brag...
I got this for signing up for Sunday Ticket: $50 instant credit $10 off my bill per month for 12 months 3 months of free HBO (I am already an HBO subscriber, so basically another $12 off my bill for three months) 3 free months of Showtime 4 free months of the HD package So basically, I ended up with Sunday ticket + three months of Showtime + four months of the HD package for a total of $43 total (not per month). Woot. |

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket Beat
How does the unit communicate to the receiver?
I guess this is the loophole: With this phone connection, DIRECTV customers are authorized to order Pay Per View movies and events with their remote control and get popular sports subscriptions such as NFL SUNDAY TICKET™. You cannot connect a cellular phone to your receiver; it must be a land-based phone line. Customers who don't have a continuous telephone connection are not authorized to receive certain sports programming and must call us to order Pay Per View. To cover the cost of handling phone requests, there is an additional $1.50 charge when Pay Per View events and movies are ordered by phone using the automated ordering system or an additional $5 charge for an operator-assisted order. http://www.directtv.com/DTVAPP/custo...0115#category7 |

I don't know, i just pay for th stuff. But i have 2 recievers, neither are hooked up to a phone line and both recieve direct ticket (which is the only reason to go dish imo as the weather here is bad enough to lose ~10 nights of TV a per).
