PP 22, Whats the line on limping weak suited aces?
The donk-ness level is quite high in this level still and I've been seeing a lot of people moving in when they make a non-nut flush. So, i've been wondering, whats the line on limping A-weak suited in the early levels?

i don't even know where to begin.
why don't you try posting a specific preflop situation instead of a random, "what do i do with suited aces?" thread. |

Personally, I don't do it because I end up spewing chips early, and hit for less than I spew. But others who have had success w/ this might be able to offer some better advice.

Generally, fold. You'll get into too much trouble when you hit an Ace or a draw that misses and just really isn't worth it.

[/ QUOTE ] the problem with this forum is that too many people want cut and dry 100 percent do or dont advice. like, okay at 20/40 and 30/60, i can ALWAYS limp with suited aces. but it doesn't work like that. maybe after a few limpers, or if the table is specifically passive, or if you are overlimping a really horrible player. |

Post a specific hand...otherwise it's too hard to answer.
Generally speaking, you will lose money in the long run playing weak suited aces. However, sometimes if I'm in position and other people have limped, I might limp as well. It all depends. Remember, you only flop a flush draw, what 9% of the time, or 11%?? whatever it is.....so to play a A-rag hoping to flop a bigger flush against somebody else's smaller flush is generally a losing proposition, especially in short stacked SNG's. |
