I guess the first question is... do I play them for set value and not raise PF against all these limpers to avoid big pot OOP? Secondly... as played... is my turn push terrible? Hopefully I can learn something here. Thanks. Thirdly, can someone tell me which hand converter works well with hands converted into pokertracker? It seems every one I've used so far (only 3 granted) gives small inconsistencies like saying here calls allin when it's really a push and weird things like raising t87.50 instead of 90 (did that above but I fixed it). |

I usually limp preflop, but you don't neccessarily have to if you can play it well post flop, but I like set value + overpair in a small pot value here.
I like the flop bet on the turn, I don't think this can be folded, so I would suggest a check actually. If you are beat by a Kd, your going to lose all of your chips anyway. If he has just a pair or nothing, your check will send him into bluff mode since you checked after the 4th diamond came out, in which case you can get chips out of him. The only bad case is when he has 2 pair that he might fold if you were to push here, then he hits a full boat on the river, but that won't happen very often, so try to get money out of him when you have him beat, and if he has a higher flush, or hits a boat, start up a new one sohn. oh and here's the one I use bisonbison's hand converter ..and set it to 2+2 forums |

You played in fine I like the PF raise to thin the field which you did then the flop bet is fine you have a moderately strong hand and will get him to fold a lot. The turn you really can't fold you have the second nuts if he has the Kd so be it but your beating way too many hands to even consider folding the turn.

I don't think you misplayed it. Although, there could be a lot of argument over optional ways to play it. The questions you've asked are good ones.
I can see arguments for limping behind PF, and I can see arguements for checking the turn. Since this is an $11, I probably would have limped PF. And since this is an $11, I like pushing the turn. Against better players I wonder if checking is better. |
