Really simple situation here but I'm not sure what the best way to handle it is.
Game is NL $50 6-max, effective stacks are 100 BBs. A nit with a PFR of 6 raises UTG+1 to $2. It's folded to me in the SB, I reraise to $7. He calls. Flop is 466, I lead for $11, he shoves, I fold... With a PFR of 6 his range is already pretty narrow. Since he called my reraise I wouldn't expect him to have anything less than AK. I can't imagine such a tight player shoving with less than queens here. Should I have even bet the flop? EDIT: Yeah, I think I need to say my cards are QQ... sorry. |

If he's a real nit, it's ok, as he'll fold a lot on the flop.

how nitty is he?
what every1s thought about just calling preflop given that its a nit and its an UTG raise? |

I think if I had JJ or TT I would definitely just call. But QQ is tough because if I just call and the flop comes like it did, it's really tough to make a decision because the villain might have TT or JJ also. What about calling preflop and then overbetting the flop? That would push out hands like AK and AQ.

6 percent preflop raise is not necessarily KK or AA here, i call here and see jj tt all the time, nits do like to reraise with their monsters, but dont necessarily especially in position here, but i really think you are ahead of villain at this point
and IMO: nit = 3 percent raising range, and 0.3 three bet range, which translates too JJ+ and three bets AA and that s it |
