Default Heads Up -- 3-1 lead...All In calling requirement?

To make the situation simple, you just got down to heads up in a stt and have a 3-1 chip lead. We'll say 15k to 5k. I know everyone has encountered the guy who will push his first 5 or 6 hands in a row regardless, and with blinds say 300-600, his stack grows quickly with just a few steals. Are you calling with anything here? I like to have "something" and by that i dont really mean anything premo, but at least a Jx or suited connecter. But is it worth it to get your opp.'s $ in if youre at best drawing 3-2 or are you waiting for a better spot, while at the same time giving him more chips to work with? I guess the bottom line is do you gamble in hopes of ending it right now or take the chance of letting him get even and then outplaying?

Posting specific hands will get responses. Regarding your example, if villain has t5,000 and pushes into your t600 bb, it is definitely not a "call any two" spot.

For a quick answer, look up the SAGE system decribed by James McManus.

specific examples are best, but your opponent still has about 9 BB's so you don't need to be calling with any 2. Even if he's pushing any 2, you can afford to wait to call with a respectable hand. At this blind level, probably any A, any pair, KQ, many suited broadway hands, etc would be pretty good to call with.

You don't need to call with anything like Q-7 or crap like that.....and I agree with the poster who recommended looking at the SAGE system to answer your question.

You could know that your opponent didn't even look at his hand before pushing and you shoouldn't call with hands such as J7 or 67s.
