NL25 - How should I play low suited cards
I'm lost on how I should play when I hit the flush with SCs or low suited cards like the ones below.
I get scared of higher flushes and tend to play very slow. I'm afriad I'm not really maximizing my profit. Any suggestions on how I should play these generally? Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game (weak-tight) Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 10 players Converter Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 folds, Hero calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB checks. Ewwww! Fold pre-flop!
You're obviously only playing the hand for flush value, so get the value! But seriously, fold pre-flop. |

Re: NL25 - How should I play low suited cards
you need to raise the turn probably pot size to see where you are at...you want Ax and 2pair to come along but not giving say A9 w 9 of spades a chance to make a better flush..if he reraises you need to make a decision based on a read if he has a set/two pair or a higher flush...without a turn raise you have no information..

But what if it was 67spades suited? would that make any difference [/ QUOTE ] First of all, if you find yourself playing hands you shouldn't be, then open up another table or two so you're never really doing nothing. Suited connectors have much much more value than a hand like 72s because there's so many flops that can give you a nice betting hand. As for your made flush, you need to be able to make enough to justify your pre-flop call and flop call here. I think the only thing that can justify that, given your odds of actually hitting a flush, is taking villian's entire stack. |
