Just a guess, but I assume looking for action buttons would be a nice start.

I was going to put this in Computer Technical Help, but then I saw this post. I'll try and make this a bit of a PSA, since some (most) of you ballaz are headed for RSI/carpal tunnel based on your setups and micro has asked for some other shots.

First, I am over 30 and actually use my setup for non-poker work, so I'm not a balla. But, here goes anyway.

Front view:

Side view:

Chair and keyboard/trackball:

Plants:

Notes:

The desk is the Jerker from IKEA. Love the name. It was about $150 with accessories.

The drawer unit is a Helmer also from Ikea. About $40.

The keyboard tray is a negative tilt model (tilts AWAY from you), picked it up used on craigslist for about $25. You can get them new from Office Depot and the like.

The keyboard is a Model M remake from unicomp (purchased the rights from IBM years ago). This is one of those super loud, very tactile keyboards. Very old school, and I love it. Was about $100.

Trackball is a Logitech Trackman Wheel. This is a classic, runs about $25. This is actually one piece I won't directly endorse from an ergonomic perspective, as scroll wheels are not suggested for extended use.

Keyboard and mouse pad wrist rests are standard units from Office Depot. Will run around $15 each.

The chair is an Aeron from sit4less.com. It's fully loaded with Posturefit (not installed in this picture) and runs about $930.

The monitors are Dell 2007FPW. I use one in portrait for work. I got them for about $350 a piece with some sort of Dell promo.

Speakers are Logitech z-2300. Very nice and compact speakers for the money, about $125.

The orchid is a Phalaenopsis from my grandmother's funeral. It's nice to have around and adds a bit of color I think.

The other plant is some random tree seed that drifted into that pot about 3 years ago. It started growing, so I kept it. I think maybe it's an Oak or something. I got the zebra from some place in Germany, and the little soldier in the pot was made by my then 8 year old niece.

The beer bottle (which holds change now) is from Rogue brewery, an awesome microbrewery in Oregon.

FYI:

Feel free to ask questions about setup, ergonomics, etc. I have been in the computer industry for about 10 years and am always at a computer, so comfort is very important to me. I have had RSI issues in the past, but my current setup is quite excellent from an ergonomic perspective (I've done lots of research and testing).

The monitors look so far away from you.

The keyboard tray is usually pushed in a bit under the desk - I took it out for a better pic. In general, the monitor should be about arms distance from you.

The best site I found for ergonomic workstation recommendations is the Cornell University site.
