what are people's thoughts on a c/r (on the turn) here?

[/ QUOTE ]
With no reads against an unknown I don't like it. I don't think we have enough FE to make it worth it, plus our hand is hidden enough that we have a good amount of implied if we hit.

linuxrocks,

players suck at vb their hands, and you'll actually get a free one or a cheaper one on turn a lot of the time. Not to mention it sucks to lead and get raised

Don't think we have much FE and it's gonna be expensive.

what kind of a hand do you think you see when you see c/c flop, c/r turn?

to most players, its a monster.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's not important what I see, Villian sees his cards, and if one of them is a Q, hes usually calling.

what are people's thoughts about throwing in a 1/2 blocking bet on the turn?

sorry, my post was a bit confusing. from the villan's standpoint, if he can do basic hand reading, and sees that his opponent check/calls the flop and then check raises the turn, it usually signifies a strong hand, no?

I dont know, maybe c/r-ing this turn isn't a good play against an unknown.

I would tend to do it for a few reasons. 1) I think we have decent fold equity vs. a player with basic hand reading ability. c/c-c/r is a fairly strong line. I think vs a hand like QT, we might have decent FE (again, maybe i'm wrong).

2)our hand is disguised and a c/r on the turn enables us for an easy river shove if we hit.

Just throwing some alternate lines out there. c/c might be best, but i probably c/r this turn 50/50 here.

Yeah, I'm just saying villain is probably a donk since he bet $2 into a $3 like 5-way pot on the flop, so he's probably not too skilled at hand reading.

Depends on where he stands on the Donk-O-Meter. Many villains at these stakes are so completely overwhelmed w/the fact that they have a Q here (sometimes regardless of kickah) that they're not paying much attention to the action and what it might mean.

I can't see the c/r on the turn. We have a great draw here, I don't see a Q folding unless our raise is big, and we limit our ability to get paid off big when we hit because more of the money is going in before we have a hand. There were lots of limpers here, and we still have 2 opponents. If one of them hit 2 pair or a set, he's liable to push at us if we c/r. That would really stink. If we hit our draw, we may stack that player.
