Default What do you think Dan Harrington has here?

Note: This is x-posted in WPT, and if it doesn't belong in MTT I apologize, and the mods should lock it. But being that it's a relatively strategic question about the play of a hand, I thought maybe it might get good reponses here. In either case, no harm meant.

Dan Harrington has $4,125,000
Minh Ly has $4,270,000

The blinds are $100,000/$200,000 with a $20,000 ante.

Minh Ly has the SBB, and calls. Harrington checks. The pot is $440,000.

The flop is A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Harrington checks. Ly bets $260,000. Harrington raises to $550,000. Ly apparently thinks for 2 minutes before calling. The pot is $1,540,000.

The turn is the J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Harrington bets $500,000. Ly again thinks and then calls. Pot is $2,540,000.

The river is the 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Harrington checks, and folds to a $1,300,000 bet after thinking for several minutes.

I really can't for the life of me figure out what Harrington can have here that makes this line make sense. In particular the small check/raise on the flop, and the underbet on the turn.

STB, BABY!!!! (that's stone cold bluff) He put his opponent on not-an-ace-not-a-heart, and bluffed the flop. He follows through with the bluff on the turn. On the river he wondered if he could get villian to fold the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and decided it wasn't happening, so he left the pot. W/T Harrington.

See the thing that keeps bugging me is that Harrington gave Ly better than 4.3:1 on the flop call and better than 4:1 on the turn.

Two small [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s. On the turn he was asking "do you have a bigger heart than me?" and the Answer was "yes, please keep betting."

I think he has to have the 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
