Update :

It appears my reputation precedes me where I live...

She is worried that I'm a "player"....To this I have no comeback I guess....and that the other guy is completely the opposite of me....I'm more conversational than all her exes...

Problem is, everywhere we have gone out we have bumped into people I know....Cinema, Bar, Club etc.....Girls were checking me out when we were having dinner....and she made several comments to this... However, to combat this I made every effort to get rid of her fears by lots of public affection, which is something I never do and she knows this !

I may post pics depending on developments....

Funny thing is - I'm divulging loads of information and that wasn't my intention - I wanted to know whether this guy was being a schmuck !

I'm 22 and to be honest, if any girl my age told me that she's dating/banging some 40 year old, I would cringe. I would not date a girl like this. She certainly has issues so you should run, and run hard.

wrong. many girls tend to be attracted to older men.

maturity, stability, experience all attract certain types of women. ive dated a few of them and w/o fail it was those qualities that drove them to the arms of the elder man.

in the end htough, they were all flings. nobody i knew SERIOUSLY dated an older man (of that much difference) for more than a few months.

either way. show her you care and yadda yadda yadda.

I don't have nearly the life/social experience as many of you guys so my view could very easily be wrong but I dunno, I if a 20 year old was telling me she dated some 40 year old, I would immediately think that she has huge problems.
