I have not made my bet or my hedge bet yet on Pitt. -2.5 now-what now?

Isn't it still a pretty good deal? If you got the Manison bet at 4.5 and you now hegde at 2.5 at another sportsbook the only result you fear is Miami loosing by 3 or 4 points . More risk than before the injury, but still pretty good. Add to that the $250 kickback on the hedge and it should still be huge +EV to hedge even with the 2.5 line, or? I am totally new to this so I might be far off....

Bumping up the point spread on the hedge to +4 only loses you $100 or so.

Seeing as you can't get the $250 kickback without placing that bet, you're looking at either $1000 from Mansion which looks a lot shakier now, or $350 + $250 doing the hedge.

The fact that so many people got in at a now bad pointspread makes it seem like a hedge is a better deal now.

Problem is that at SIA you can't buy the extra 1.5 point up to 4.0, at least I can't find out how to do it. So it's basically 2.5 or you don't hedge at all I guess. Man, why didn't I hedge this damn thing on friday [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

Nobody should be hedging this unless you desperately need $500 to pay your loan shark immediately.

Any way that you Hedge is going to reduce your EV relative to just placing the mansion bet (unless you can find a casino offering dolphins +5 +110 or greater - assuming you got in at steelers -5 on mansion) - The vig at the other casino will most likely hurt your EV; don't give in to the sweet call of variance reduction!
