Wasn't really interested in the money, but wondering if the passive approach would have worked better. Maybe I should try reading the entire post next time =P.

I'm not saying I would always play the hand this way, but I know I can take down the pot here and there are too many ways for me to lose on the turn or river.

I read the original post a couple of days ago and didn't read any replies. I just now read that OP prefers hands where we are ahead and don't want a fold. This doesn't qualify on that account, but I love the way this hand played!

Sorry I messed up the wording of the original thread and caused so much confusion.

It's easy to look back at a hand when it goes to showdown and determine if there was a better way to play it because we know the results. Most of our analysis/thinking is targeted to these types of hands.

The purpose of this thread was to start thinking about hands that didn't see showdown and determine if we overpowered our opponent unnecessarily when a more passive approach might win more money. By analyzing those situations where we overpowered our opponents we might learn that those spots should be played more passively when holding a good hand. Something else can be discovered in those situations. These same situations may give us great bluffing opportunities when we hold a crappy hand. I'll try to post some examples in the future. Thanks.
