Default There a sparrow in my house

I had the window open a little today when it was raining and now there is a sparrow in my house. At first it was soaked and hopping` around the molding on the wall. Now hes flying around a little bit and just made some sort of noise. I opened the window and he wont leave.
How can i get rid of him?

you can't really, it won't get near you. Open all possible windows. An idea is to cover the glassy area with a towel so it doesn't bash into that and sees the true exit.

PS sparrows are harbingers of death, so beware

This is very close to what a tennis racket was designed for

I think a badminton racket is a better choice. They were designed for hitting birdies. They will also do less damage if they make contact with personal belongings.

Seriously, the all windows/doors open option is the only way to go.

Open another window so a second sparrow can fly in.

do you have a roomate or a friend? They are very easy to trap with a sheet, and then you can let him outside. Its still possible to do this alone, but a little harder. Opening the front door and herding him out that way is waaay more effective than opening a window and trying to get him out that way.

This happened to a friend once. We closed all the blinds/curtains except for 1 window that we left open. It was the only light source and the bird flew right out.
