Re: The Ultimate Bad Beat at 1/3 NL Tables at The Wynn Las Vegas
The problem here is that you're upset about losing 2-3 buyins. Maybe you should sit something smaller when you go to Vegas, instead of trying to be a [censored] BALLER. Now you're back at college, depressed, and will probably fail out because you lost with aces twice in a game you shouldn't have been in.
nh tho. |

I was well on my way to failing college before these beats. At the 2/5 at Majestic Star in Gary, I just got my AK busted by AJ by the case jack on the river in a 750 dollar pot. What a run for me.

[ QUOTE ] I was overpushing when I was down to under 100. With the low stack I had, I had to push hard so only good cards would call me. Someone would raise to 15 before me, and I would get dealt pocket 8s. I dont see anything wrong with reraising allin with a stack of 80 when I get dealt that hand against a raise. I am not just gonna call a raise there. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] you're not that good. Work on your game. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] |

come on guys...quit giving him bad advice. He is good enough. He just needs to move up to a limit where people respect his raises.

Thanks alot ckmo. I cant believe the slack I am getting here for losing with pocket aces like that. I would not play them any differently if i was in the same position again. I am not one to slowplay them because I dont overvalue the hand like a lot of people do.

Re: The Ultimate Bad Beat at 1/3 NL Tables at The Wynn Las Vegas
I've lost AI with AA vs AK pf. It isn't standard, but it's far from unimaginable. I saw the sickest beat ever on the WPT, worse than Harman's beat in the WSOP to the 1 outer.
A guy was like 1% on the flop, goes to 5% on the turn and rivers quads or something totally ridiculous. It was nuts. When you're running bad, you're reminded why there's a 1 in 4-1. I remembered the beat. It was AK vs A7 and they're AI on an AK2 flop. Turn 7 river 7. Sick beat, at the final table of the WPT no less. |
