First HH post. Not sure I played the turn correctly
Feel free to rip me a new one. Lord knows I have a lot to learn. SB was 43/13/3 over 50 hands FWIW. Real hard to put him on anything, at least for me.

Re: First HH post. Not sure I played the turn correctly
I think you played this fine. Against I c/r turn when I'm getting 8.5-1, I consider folding to a tight player's c/r, but against 43/13/3 I'm more inclined to call it down.
And I pre-empitively reply to anyone who says you should have value bet the river. No way. There's no way betting the river is correct because it's certainly not for value here and because he has 0% fold equity. Basically, it's pretty obvious that SB turned a hand. He could have been leading the flop with a FD, which hit on the turn, or he could have been leading the flop with a AT, which nailed 2pair on the turn. And it's obvious that he fears the 4th diamond, but he's taking a c/c line, not a c/f line. With AT, he's scared that the 4th diamond made you a flush. With a small flush, he's scared that the 4th diamond made you a bigger flush. Just save yourself 1 BB and check this. |

Re: First HH post. Not sure I played the turn correctly
At 0.1/0.2 I don't believe he is bluffing the scare card unless I have reads that he is a solid player. There are dumb people who do this with KT or even KJ, KQ, QJ but with an A and flush on the board they are usually too scared. I'd expect to be behind often here. I haven't played 0.1/0.2 for a long time so I don't know if I would call regardless.

Re: First HH post. Not sure I played the turn correctly
This is fine by me. He is super tricky here or has 2 pair or better, and got weak on the river. You are probably not folding one of these hands, so it is fine.

Against a guy that laggro, you played this fine. Don't be results oriented.

Re: First HH post. Not sure I played the turn correctly
*grunch from the cheap seats*
no other way to play that hand, standard result expected losing to flush or two pair....fish probably afraid of over flush so my guess is two pair so you saved yourself a bet. |
