Default Re: Blue Screen of Death

I actually had a similar blue-screen-of-death problem at work a couple of weeks ago. It ended up that the software I was using didn't like dual core or dual processor computers. How I fixed the problem is:

- Go into task manager and find the party poker process that is running. Right click on it and choose CPU Affinity (something like that, I can't remember exactly what it is) and uncheck one of the processors.

Now the downsides with this are a) the settings don't save so everytime you start up the process you have to do this, b) you're only using one processor. I doubt b is a problem but who knows.

Of course if you don't have a dual core/processor this won't help you at all.

Your best bet is to use the event viewer to furthur determine the problem. With a stop error there will definately be an entry. Check one of my other responses in an above post if you don't know how to access it.
