El Diablo,

Sorry I missed that. It's quite the large thread full of a lot of fluff. Reasonable request. Thanks for clearing it up.

You are a classless douchebag.

[/ QUOTE ]
everyone, get off the "classless douchebag" name-calling now. baron apologized for the jabs he and ken threw at nick, and nick accepted, so that should no longer be an issue.

the only issue remaining is baron's silly and hypocritical insistence that nick's hustle is "immoral."

Meh. You know that using certain laguage provokes certain responses and there are many ways of saying different things. You can tell someone that they are wrong in a way that is likely to make them rail against you, or in a way that makes them want to listen to you. In the old limit strategy forums you used to do a lot more of the latter, i don't follow your strategy posts now (i believe you post in the NL areas) and it seems that your OOT and BBV posts are more designed toward the former.
Just calling it like i see it.

t,

When people are nice and respectful and want help, I am likely to communicate in a certain way. When people act like a-holes, I am likely to treat them with less respect.

Before I played in the biggest games with Chip, I used to stop by the game and take a look at who was playing. I wanted to play, but it would have taken my entire bankroll. Chip would always try to entice any potential players into playing in the game. He was the king of the hill. He used to say to me in his somewhat patronizing way that we now teasingly call Chip-talk, “Buddy, we’ve got the perfect game for you. We’re playing all of your best games. I can’t believe you’re not gonna take a shot.”

[/ QUOTE ]

I think Chip was being immoral here. How could he possibly know all of Barry's best games?

El Diablo,

What if you were playing in a shorthanded game vs someone that say, had sucked out on you for $5k early in the session, and then proceeded to drink heavily throughout the night and had amassed a mountain of chips (many of them yours) ? Same courtesy?

El Diablo,

Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about playing poor players?

Do you make a personal moral distinction between a good player who's drunk and as such playing poorly, and a player who's just very bad at poker?

Imagine you are in a game that's now down to 2 handed, the other person will keep playing with you and they are an extremely poor player (very passive, folds too much for heads up, etc. etc). Would it make a difference if he/she played for much bigger sums in the pit and was just blowing off steam vs. he/she just got her paycheck and was gamblign it away?
