Post Flop Aggression: 2.7 Went to showdown: 73% He was obviously stuck a lot. I did not cap the flop cause i wanted it to look more like AK. First of all. If you wanted it to look like AK, you might as well bet it preflop.
Flop isn't too bad. He might just think you missed since he's superlag. But when he's still 3-betting the turn, you have to start thinking about what he has. As played (preflop), I'd probably call down once he 3-bets the turn. I get suspicious. Then I think it's call down time unless an ace or a 3rd seven drops. Was it a lame bad beat? (Answer after more feedback if you like) |

sorry I had tried to make my actions red, it didn't work and erased my first action. I did raise PF. he called out of the SB......
BB couldn't fold unless I raised it......... well I guess he could, and I wouldn't put it past some people at this level, but no.... I raised. I just have no clue what he would cap the turn with? I was thinking KQ on the flop. Then I thought about KK & QQ, but who cold calls oop PF with KK or QQ? and I really try not to fear quads. my buddy just mentioned Q7 or K7.... didn't really cross my mind at the time, but I guess that fits. I so need new batteries for my luckbox. |

[/ QUOTE ] Call me crazy but I don't think this guy is even attempting to put you on a range. And I doubt I'm going to waste any energy trying to put a range on him. The hand was played fine, I can't think of a logical reason to not cap the flop or to slow down. If you lost, it's because the Poker Gods hated you on this day. |

You did everything the right way. I encounter people who play like that with low pair every now and then.

I really think I slow down on the turn. He is a superlag but I don't want to get into a raising war with this hand, wait until you get a bit stronger hand.

It's easy to overplay single pairs against LAGs. Done it many a time. However now I usually gain control with one pair, go nuts on em with two pair. They'll pay you off there. |

After being 3-bet again on the turn you're looking at a set, be it a LAGgy set like 77 or a more standard one like KK. You also could be against KQ. In any case you're behind more often than not, I think. Call the turn 3-bet and just call a river bet. |
