what is this player doing? Cheating suspected but how?
I am 4000 played hands rookie (still learning fundamentals, don't understand poker tacker stats yet etc.)
Last night I ran into a player at Party .5/1 who played every hand aggressively all the way to showdown regardless of his hand. His betting/calling would vary but seemed most aggressive (capping multiple rounds) when drawing dead. Once involved in a pot he would not fold. He played almost every hand. Once every round or so he would fold preflop sometimes even refusing the free cards at the BB position. He never showed down a pocket pair so its probably only these that he was always folding. He did this for at least 4 hours straight. What is he doing? I know its probably to manipulate his stats but at this level I wouldn't think many people track stats and I would think there would be stat filters so he couldn't take these stats into higher limits. |

All the big time cheats are at .5/1, it's where you can make a big score with your shady tricks.... ya.

Do 2+2ers routinely refuse free cards?

That was me, or more precisely my bot. I accidentally set it for 'Razz' mode so I was constantly playing for the nut low. Took a nap after I started it and didn't wake up for 4 hours. Won't let that happen again.

[/ QUOTE ] yes. the sign of a great player is a fold last-to-act on the flop when it is checked to him. it is a slowplay avoidance play and relies heavily on metagame/psychological tendencies. say you have AK and you raise preflop. 4 see a flop of T76. you know someone has 66 and it gets checked to you. you fold so you don't feel the need to call down if you hit an A or K. ed left it out of SSHE because new players would misuse it. |

According to most .5/1 players, YOU were cheating by paying attention to what this guy was doing.

no it was obvious what he was doing and everyone called him down. He won some big pots while his losses piled up.
Does miles ever offer legit posts or is he just around to amuse himself by thinking he confuses people? |

Re: what is this player doing? Cheating suspected but how?
there was a thread at full tilt forums about players wanting the "open fold" button, so they pass on their bluffing with air hands, and not have to show them down when it gets checked through the river. It's nice because the username on the forum is their player name.
