Here's a good one. link

84% avg error 17 miles

I agree, the Northeast is very difficult. It was also hard to place nevada when there weren't any other states around it.

96% avg. average error 5 miles. I put Wyoming and Nebraska slightly off. It was tough with those two because there were no states near them on the map yet. Other than that I killed that bitch.

Off the top of your head, can you name the ten most populous states?

Off the top of your head, can you name the 10 states with the highest average number of people per square mile?

Yes, an educated American should be able to do it.

Yes I can do it. Then when I'm done, I could fill in the capitals for you if you want.

I have a pretty sick memory.

I once won a $100 prop by naming all 50 states with no map.

would probably get a few wrong, although I could get lucky and get 50/50. Add me to the list of people that see this as totally trivial and unimportant to learn.

I don't know why knowing precise geography should have any bearing on your ability vote... but here is something every citizen should know since it is one of the three co-equal branches of our government:

Name all of the Supreme Court Justices and identify the President that appointed each of them.

If that's too hard, how about this: How many Supreme Court Justices are there?

My guess is less than 2% of Americans can answer the first question and less than 50% can answer the second one...

Yes I can because I memorized geography songs in elementary school that have all 50 in order. A girl bet me once I couldn't even list all 50 states. (:
