great outing for his replacement, julian tavarez:
3 innings pitched, 5 hits, 3 earned runs, 3 walks, 3 strikeouts. Lmao Red Sox just gave up on the season entirely with this move, but maybe they knew they were already done.

Wells was great for the Padres during his time there and has had success in the NL. He even had success for the Red Sox coming off his DL stint.
