Default Please recommend me a new manual razor and accessories

I have given up on electrics because they irritate my face from having to go over areas over and over again, so I need a manual razor recommendation:

the last one i used was the mach 3 a couple of years ago.

i see these new quattro and fusion and fusion power ones out.

which of those 3 would you recommend, or would you recommend a different one?

and as for shaving cream and aftershave, can i get some recs on those too? i see like fusion cream and fusion aftershave i think. should i just use those or are they a waste?
please keep in mind that my skin is super sensitive so i need a shaving cream and aftershave that won't irritate it more than necessary.

thanks

Fusion dude. Last I checked the Quattro still had those gay wires over the blades. Even if they don't, the Fusion rules. Get the accompanying Fusion gel for uniformity. It s00thes me.

I still use an M3 Power, and I like it alot. I haven't tried the fusion thing as I bought a huge pack of refill M3 cartridges at Costco and haven't used them up yet. I'm not a big fan of Schick so I never bothered trying the quattro thing they had.

Just make sure to take a long and hot shower scrubbing your face before you shave (or shave in the shower if you have a mirror). I tried the shaving oil stuff but found the gel works better for me (some people use oil and gel/cream).

Well, I have both. I like the feel of the battery one, but I never use the battery operation. It's only a dollar more, so might as well though. I don't use aftershave, but Nivea for men would be my choice. It's too bad you can't give the Fusion a test run, I don't know how it is on sensitive skin, but imo it's the best shave.

thanks to the two previous responders.

to you full rake,

do you shave with the grain to get that close fusion shave or do you have to shave against it to get it?

and swede what should i be scrubbing my face with in the shower to get it ready for shaving? when i used to use a manual i always just let hot water sit on it for a few mins to open up the pores and didnt really have any probs

I like my fusion, its a good shave and doesnt irriate my face too much, and I have pretty sensitive skin.

i have went with this combonation for the past few months after much much trial and error.....(i agree with the razor and shave gel recos, they are fine)

use some sort of pre shave scrub, i have been going with neutrogena even though my wife owns a day spa and i can get all of the expensive stuff, it seems like overkill.

post shave you have a few options, figure out what works best for you.......the best stuff ever is this witch hazel combo after shave from bath and body works from c.o. bigelow, it comes in a blue bottle and is awesome.

then follow it up with some sort of post shave lotion or moisturizing cream, i like aveda products or if you are just at the drugstore go with nivea and use it all over your face, but focusing on the just shaved areas.

shave in the shower and you are set.

later. J.

Look man, [censored] the hype, [censored] the gimmicks

I used a mach 3.
then the mach 3 power

then the fusion power
got the fusion gel, and the fusion aftershave

mad razor bumps, irratation etc

seriously 5 blades is a whole lot of face cutting

so I dropped down

twin-blade gillette sensor. I get a better shave, less irritation, and blades are so much cheaper.

Also i use aveeno shaveing cream.

I shave *I THINK* against the grain. Starting from the bottom of the neck, I go up to my cheeks. I used to get bad razor burn but now I can basically shave with just water, although I don't.
