Getting check raised on the turn your overpair is rarely good here, it sucks to fold to a minraise but that is where you get away from it.

Agreed a turn check raise usually means your overpair in no good...Turn bet was to weak bet about 2/3 to 3/4 of pot then if you are raise you can most often fold with confidence knowing you made a correct fold..

Getting check raised on the turn your overpair is rarely good here, it sucks to fold to a minraise but that is where you get away from it. [/ QUOTE ] Against an opponent with any kind of imagination or aggression, I take this hand to the felt every time (reraising the turn AI). There are tons of draws (none of which come on the turn) and a lot of Villains may think their PP>66 is good (esp. if Hero's been aggressive with draws and overs in these situations). Only if Villain is straightforward and has an AF of like 1 will I consider folding this hand. That's how I play it... If you're more passive and Villain is passive, then folding the turn is probably correct. As for the bets, I'd put more in on the flop (to get it AI by the river) and more on the turn (for the same reason). If you're going to call the turn bet, you might as well put it all in yourself; I can't see why you would call the turn and fold the river... |
