raise to 300 preflop, pot the turn. c/c or c/f river depending on hsi bet.

Re: 20/180 PS : AQ UTG +1
The limp is OK, but raising preflop is more standard.
I like it OK, except I would check the river. Villain was likely on a flush draw and could be already ahead. He could call with a weaker ace or something. But I would check and let him do the betting here. As played, I would call the miniraise on the river, even though you are probably beat. The odds are too good at this point. |

Re: 20/180 PS : AQ UTG +1
Betting river is ok if you fold to a raise. If that's not something you want to do then check, paying off a raise with tptk when a flush hits is bad.
Rest is ok but I think raising pf makes the hand easier to play. |

Villain may even bluff or value bet a weaker hand. |

Re: 20/180 PS : AQ UTG +1
It depends, do you plan on c/c'ing or c/f'ing? I think a c/f is better because I don't see what he would be bluffing with.
For a villain to bluff he pretty much needs a missed draw (QJ?), unless he was floating with air which is extremely rare. So almost always villain has a weaker ace or a flush by not raising turn. Almost everything else folds/raises turn. Ace usually checks behind and a flush will raise you. $20/180 players almost never make fancy river plays, if you bet AQ here I think you can expect a call from an ace or a raise from a flush. Of course, if an ace folds, checking is better. |

Re: 20/180 PS : AQ UTG +1
I think your beat on the river with the mini-raise but I likely call it anyways and hope he's bluffing the flush or two pair or something.
I might bet more on the flop to be honest, if someones calling with a weak ace(as the CO may do) then a bigger bet gives worse odds to anyone chasing the flush from BB or UTG, although by their folds it appears that wasn't a problem but we didn't know that then. I dunno seems like most people think you did fine so maybe i'm offbeat here. |
