Same 2 villian 30 hands later. UTG decides he's not getting sucked out cheap this time.
Flop: ($17) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets $380.15 (All-In), Button calls $178.55 (All-In).

...

Button has 5h 2d (high card, ten).
UTG has Ad As (one pair, aces).
Outcome: UTG wins $575.70.

And all along I've been thinking those 22 x pot overbet pushes were bad because a worse hand wouldn't call!

Outting peoples screen names in a public forum is a really bad idea.

[/ QUOTE ]
Outing? These names have no connection to any other names - I'm just talking about who to watch for at Stars 25NL, same as dbitel/orange with FTP 200NL.

You in there or something? :P

PSA: I'm getting bored of typing out 'pot pot pot' and 'pot pot shove', so in the future if you see PPP or PPS in my post you'll know what they mean.

Hmm, I just did a search for PPP and PPS on urbandictionary and maybe they won't work after all.

I try to keep a lid on my ego when thinking about poker, but this thread is making me wonder if my understanding of preflop fundamentals is already good enough to win at $25-50. Push? Seriously?

Because sometimes 74:1 just isn't a good enough price.

Full Tilt Poker

Stack sizes:
UTG: $54.65

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG folds, Hero raises to $1, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($2.1, 2 players)

Anybody have stats on "Call_Me_Daddy" ? He plays 200NL on Party. He's 40/30 preflop and seems to be a big winner. I have about 3000 hands on him, I'd love to see stats if anybody has > 5000 hands on him.

Brilliant hand from the Gutshot £5 rebuy last night.

In the first hour so all hands are all in or fold. 3 players get it in, one a donkey and two others relatively okay.

Player one: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Player two: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Player three: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
River: .....4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

And the donkey takes it all with a seven high straight flush.

Board:
Dead:
equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 76.4399 % 75.87% 00.57% { AdAh }
Hand 2: 09.8307 % 09.26% 00.57% { AsKs }
Hand 3: 13.7294 % 13.61% 00.12% { 7s3s }

I'm going nuts. Lots of shorties making me drop too much money.

AA < 88, 8 on the flop.
KQ < AA, K on the flop.
AK < AA, A on the flop.

Too short to get away from any of them, but nearly a buyin total. And then there was the flush under flush I should've gotten away from. Yes, variance, etcetera, but I think I need to move down again, regain some confidence.

Yay, set < flopped flush as well. [censored] this. I'm done with NL50.

Default Party loves me

Seems that someone at Party set my switch to "Win Big" for this month's bonus:

It does, of course, help when you get loads of big PPs and they hold up:

(And don't forget to add the $100 bonus!)

The big jump in the middle of the graph was caused by these two hands:

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $61.90
UTG+1: $55
Hero: $79.10
Button: $148.77
SB: $49.50
BB: $42.98

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
2 folds, Hero raises to $2, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($6.25, 3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $6, Button calls, BB folds.

Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($18.25, 2 players)
Hero bets $14, Button raises to $35, Hero raises to $56, Button raises to $77, Hero calls all-in $15.1.
Uncalled bets: $5.9 returned to Button.

River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($160.45, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $160.45)

Results:
Final pot: $160.45
Button shows 9h Ts
Hero shows 7s 7h

2 Hands later:

River: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($1.5, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $139.09)

Results:
Final pot: $136.09
UTG+1 shows Qd Qc
Hero shows Ac Ah

I felt a bit sorry for him - rather like, as a Man Utd supporter, I felt sorry of the Bayern players after the European Cup Final in 1999. In other words, it lasted for about 2 seconds.
