OT: PartyPoker disappearing buttons, vol II

On Topic: I've sent PP an email, but I'm honestly not expecting them to refund anything, as their support was horrible the last time.

Luckily it doesn't seem to be a general problem (otherwise I guess the forum would've been flooded with posts). I haven't had the guts to start another set, as the last one was pretty damn frustrating. I'll probably wait untill tomorrow before trying again.

There have been sporadic reports of this sort of thing, nobody's ever figured out the cause (but probably some sort of memory leak).

Restarting Party after every set or two may help, if you play in sets.

Otherwise, you may need to buy a new computer (that's the only way curtains found to fix the problem) with plenty of memory and run ONLY Party on it.

Much more intersting than the buttons is how you had rockets on two of 4 tables simultanously when it happened.

@Pineapple888: I did restart the client EVERY time, so it mounted to roughly 8-10 times during my last set, with no improvement.

When I'm playing the pre-select buttons disappear frequently but the "real" buttons haven't disappeared since party gave names to speed tournies.

You could also try using ProcessTamer (it's free) to reduce the Party app to "Low" priority. I do that anyway, just because it's such a hog of resources.

Okay - so the problems persist today. Again it's a problem with the timer only giving me a few seconds to respond.

I have written party but got no response.

I guess I have to do a reinstall/format or something

I am having the same problem on my main computer and have had it before (like two years ago). Your only options are to format your computer or buy a new one. I have my laptop hooked up to one of my 2001FPs at the moment.

Yup, buttons still disappeared for me while 8 tabling after the Speed names came back.
