Default $200 NL 10 max, TPTK, 3 way pot

Stacks: Hero has $450, BB has $250, UTG+1 covers.

Note: Blinds are $2-4.

BB is kinda fishy but not awful, UTG+1 is a solid TAG.

I'm in middle position with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG+1 limps, folded to me, I raise to $16, folded to BB who calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], pot is $48.

Checked to hero who bets $50, they both call.

Turn is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], pot is $198.

Checked to hero...

If I had only one buy in front of me I'd gladly go all in. But with about $380 left, if I pot it I'm backing a fair amount of money with just top pair. OTOH I don't want to let the flush get there. Do I just have to bite the bullet and bet hard?

Thanks

I check here. I don't want the pot to get huge incase someone has a set, leaving me in a position where I'm going to find it really hard to fold the river.

I check and then I value bet non-spade river. I call any small river bets, spade or not, and I fold to any reasonable size river bet on a spade. I'd probably consider folding to a reasonable river bet on a non-spade too, but depends on the size and the other player's action really.

I don't think the pot getting huge is really an issue here, since we're basically folding to any further action from utg+1 and probably don't mind getting ai vs. bb here

Still, I'd probably check here. Seems like utg+1 might have you bitched a very high proportion of the time. If the flop was king-high instead I would bet the turn though.

If you bet, no reason to pot it. 2/3 or less should be sufficient.
