Just a question... why isn't EVERYONE on ABSOLUTE?

I'm going to make my question sound a lot more philisophical than it actually is.

Is the reason why everyone isn't playing at absolute BECAUSE everyone isn't playing at absolute?

This is by no means a spam for absolute, hell i even went looking for a new site less than a week ago. When everything is boiled down, Absoulte poker offers BY FAR the best deal. But how you ask? They only offer 28%!!! Well i will have you know that absolute offers 28% without deducting bonuses. All these other sites advertise 50% rakeback but you can't use deposit bonuses.

So then your argument is, well.... 28% + bonuses = to around 50% doesn't it? To be fair, yes they are relatively similar when combined.

HERES THE KICKER AND ITS BIG

Absolute Poker has recently introduced a VIP program. Sounds hokey, but you accumulate points that can be spent on ACTUAL meaningful things, such as 60 gig ipod videos, laptops, tourny buyins, etc.

You do the math, read on.

I play about 50% of my games NL 4$ BB, 50% NL 2$ BB. I play around 25k hands per month. I make enough in points to earn myself a 60gig ipod video every month (400$ value including tax). But it doesn't stop there. My VIP status is Elite (which is the highest possible, but not hard to achieve if you look back at my hand volume stats). Once you achieve Elite status, you get to play in the 100k guarenteed once a month, and the 16k guarenteed once a month FREE. Thats a combined 260$ value.

So lets break this down.

Summary
I play
NL 4$ BB - 15k hands a month
NL 2$ BB - 15k hands a month

make around 2600$ a month in rakeback (28%)
make around 1800$ a month in bonuses
Vip points to earn me 60gig ipod video every month (sell for 400)
260$ worth of tourny entries

= $5,060 on TOP of table earnings.



SO BACK TO THE WHOLE POINT OF MY THREAD... WHY THE HELL DOESN'T EVERYONE PLAY THERE?!?!

My only guess could be that it doesn't have a ton of players. During peak hours, there are usually 6 tables of No limit 4$ BB, 8 tables of NL 2$ BB, 15 tables of NL 1$ BB, and anything lower that 1$ BB you will never have trouble finding a game ever.

I think i just went off on a huge tangent. But hopefully this can be some good advertising for absolute poker.

-ps, This thread was not meant in any way to brag about how much money i make in bonuses. Notice how i did not discuss my actual table winnings. ANYONE can make in bonuses what i do if they play as much. A thousand hands a day gives you 5k in bonuses a month.

So, why aren't you playing there?

1. I did not sign up for rakeback initially.
2. 6 tables max.
3. not much full ring, mostly 6-max NL games.
4. software is not great.

Ongame skins are >100% rakeback for tight full ring NL players playing with 10x bonus or better.

FullTilt rakeback+bonus is pretty good too, and they have good game selection and the best interface.

We have long pushed Absolute as our #1 site, simply put they charge nothing against the rake which is unheard of.

It's my understanding that, in lieu of the iPod, Absolute will give you more than that in cash if you just ask them ($425 I think).
