ITM flush draw in a 20 person SNG - Push it?
$6 party SNG with 20 players and now down to this. Villain had been an active raiser but mostly on the button. With him being in the SB I had trouble completely giving him credit for the ace and felt pushing this might give good results in either a flush or fold. As played, is there a standard play here that I should know about? And also, is this a preflop fold for many people?

Re: ITM flush draw in a 20 person SNG - Push it?
I have never played one of these but just by looking at it I think shoving here is probably pretty terrible.
I might consider a call but if you have a decent edge then I would just fold here... Scrilla |

He's betting just over 3/4 pot and not giving you drawing odds. You have implied odds w/K high flush, so if your going with that, I'd say a smooth call and wait for your [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Call.
If he slows down on Turn, then take it with a bet. If he bets the Turn too, then give it up. |

Re: ITM flush draw in a 20 person SNG - Push it?
A push here is fine. The pot is currently 1/3 your stack, if you call you have 7200 chips and the pot is 5600 so I think calling would be pretty bad. Note the converted is messed up and the pot size is all wrong.
The push probably folds a lot of small pairs and Kx and Qx hands and possibly some of the weaker aces too. Picking up these 4k chips adds 40% to your starting stack and gives you the chip lead. |
