Franklin vs Silva- UFC 64

Ok, for those who don't know, Silva is the one who trampled Leben on UFN some weeks back...


Was the UFC going to make Leben fight Franklin if he beat Silva, but since he didn't they are giving Silva the shot? This will be Silva's second fight in the UFC, I don't really understand this. Sure, he looked very impressive during the Leben fight, but is he at the same level of Franklin?

Quarry had more fights and IMO looked sturdy to have a shot at Franklin, and he got pounded. I would like to see a Silva vs Quarry fight, with the winner recieving a title fight, but I guess not.

Yeah it seems really weird to me that they would give him a title shot off one fight alone. I don't know what he did in Japan but this seems too fast. What about guys like Mike Swick who have been demolishing the competition for several fights now.
