River makes my flush, now what??
Been sitting with Villain for maybe 20 minutes. He seems moderately agressive but not crazy LAG. So I suspect his huge stack is likely as not due to skill.

[/ QUOTE ] I think I'd rather small bet (to get crying calls from T, JJ-KK, and A) or a push to get A to call. I have a hard time believing a pot bet would get a call from A while a push wouldn't, or that a pot bet would get a call from T, JJ-KK period. |

Re: River makes my flush, now what??
What Aces do you guys think he could have given that he called a 3/4 pot bet on the flop and he can't have had the Ace-high flush draw?

Re: River makes my flush, now what??
You've never seen someone float an A here? Even without the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]? I see enough people float A2o in this spot. I think A is possible. Otherwise, what c/c turn and river? T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]X[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is possible. FD is possible, but I find (without the T) that they give up on the turn. Overpairs to the flop make a lot of sense: slowplay the flop but get stuck by the A on the turn.
I think a smallish bet ($4) works well, personally. That way you get value out of some of the mediocre hands and you can fold to a raise, as a raise would almost certainly tell you you're beat. |
