Next thing on the militant wacko vegan agenda will be to ban the serving of non-free range chicken because of the way chickens are bread in crowded conditions with the sole intention of slaughtering them for food.

I don't think they'll be selling foie gras under the table, but seriously, why is it wrong to force feed them to death, but it's perfectly ok to send unsuspecting cattle to Bovine University?

I had some foie gras followed by a nice rare veal chop for dinner the other night. Both were delicious.

The French have a thing for subtle rich tastes. Foie Gras is one of their most prized food items. I have never eaten it, so I can not say. Some of the other things they love are truffles, which are fungus grown underground primarily near large trees, celeriac or the root of a celery plant which has a very earthy flavor, oxtail (also eaten in the United States)which is extremely tender, eggs (especially the yellow), veal (favored for its mild flavor), and many types of rich mellow cheese.

You should probably at least try some of these things, but if they dont sound appealing to you then dont sweat it. I do like celery root on occasion, shredded in a salad and eaten raw. Do not cook it as it turns bitter. Truffles and foie gras are too expensive for me, and I'll leave those to the gourmets.
