Default Hold\'em - NL v. LIMIT, A question of which is more Lucrative?

A good question a buddy of mine brought up yesterday. He recently switched from Limit to No-Limit and played over 8,000 hands in the last week (not much by any means) and is now convinced that No-Limit is a easier game to beat and make money in.

Now my question is that I always had the feeling that the edge you get in limit is a more steady and less risky move to play and you can make just as much money playing the right stakes where as in No-Limit you'd go broke pretty quick.

Of course again, bad no-limit players get stacked more often and there are twice as many suckouts in limit but it seems as though you'd more often have a slight edge where as in NL you could have a huge edge and still lose.

Any thoughts?

that seems to be the answer for anyone who has been on the board a while "Use the search function". You know what, just answer the question or move on. People should not have to look up anything more then two weeks old.

I was driven to a mad rage, but this helped...thanks. I really liked you in T2, by the way. OP, try searching on google. The search engine here blows.

(pssst--it's NL, unless you suck like me)

I strongly disagree. 2+2 has a great endowment of achived posts, and allowing a bunch of lazy new posts asking questions that have been intelligently discussed at length hurts the forum through clutter, and also hurts the newbie by making it easy for him to ignore the good stuff of old.

If something has come once or twice before, no big deal. But "limit vs. NL" has been beat to death.

I'll be the bigger man

I wasn't being a jerk....I was just telling you how to find the answer to a question asked multiple times per week. You clearly did not know how to use search.
