[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Geez. I just typed out a really long post about how this is a call, but the more I think about it the more I think this guy's been beiding his time afraid of playing big pots and probably has 44, 55, or AA. I will say I think he almost never has an A or a flush. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] why no ace? i doubt he's betting like 500 with an ace on the end. im not saying its not a call, but i dont think we can rule out an ace at all given the prior history. i guess im not seeing why its never an ace or flush. |

I was shocked no one thought he could have an ace here. I can see the reasons for call as given the history there's a lot going on in the river, he could be tilting, and he may just want to get one over on you and i agree those reasons have their place in hands like this. I just don't think so in this hand, because the fact HE DIDN'T try to bluff the flop or the turn makes me think he is trapping this time with an ace. If he is tilting or wants to get one over on you then most will just do it on the flop all the time. Also if the guy is still rational he probably wouldn't try it on the turn with the picked up backdoor flush, if not rational then probably.
I see his range has pretty heavily weighted towards the major hands, given it's extremely good for an ace to check behind here, extremely good for the flushes to make good then make it look like a river/turn pick up bet and if he had boardway cards he would have tried to pick up on the flop rather than river. Then factor in the unnecessary overbet, makes this a fold. |
