77 vs. TAG turn raise ok?
I only have a few hands on him, but it seems to be an average tag. ~25/18/2.5

Re: 77 vs. TAG turn raise ok?
I raise flop or call down. Is the turn raise for value? To fold a better hand?

looks ok, raising the flop would be fine too.

Re: 77 vs. TAG turn raise ok?
I prefer folding the flop to calling the flop and raising the turn.
Edit: I would also prefer raising the flop to calling it. |

Re: 77 vs. TAG turn raise ok?
i think folding the flop is too weak here. villan could be donking all kinds of trash, even given our read.

Raise flop, bet turn (b/f), free showdown.

Re: 77 vs. TAG turn raise ok?
Ok, my line of thinking was since it was a blind steal situation, if i raise the flop it would let him off cheaper when he is beat.
My turn raise was for a free showdown/semi bluff as the last money i put into the pot. Since calling down from the flop and this play put 2.5bb in the pot, even if he only folds a better hand a fraction of the time, this seems +ev vs. an opponnent who won't 3 bet as a bluff. |
