Associate Salaries in NY?

Does anyone here know how much a first or second year associate makes at a large bank in NYC? Is it different for an associate at trading floor vs investment banking?

Any info would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Erroneous on all counts.

Investment banking salaries are almost uniformly 60k for first years, Goldman is 70 I think and Morgan might be 65. No one gets 95. First year bonuses are similarly uniform with top tier being 80, middle tier 70 and bottom tier 60. There's little variation here as well, no one gets 120. No one gets a 25k signing bonus, it's 10, 5, or nothing--with few exceptions that are all <10.

He's talking about associate salaries, not analyst salarys


Analysts salarys are 1st year - 60k, 2nd year - 70k, 3rd year - 80k across the board (at big firms)..
bonus ranges are 1st year - 70k avg, 2nd year - 90k avg, 3rd year - 110k avg.

1st year signing bonuses (analysts) are 10k pretty much across the board, a little extra if you were an intern at the same firm.
