ooops, misread the blinds...

And actually, JTs fares the same as ATs against range I assigned villain (99+, AQo+, AJs+)...

yeah, i guess your post just suggested that JTs was like infinitely stronger ("turbopush" etc). that sort of jiveturkey talk (zomg resteal with 34s yo!!!) gets thrown around a lot on these boards and it's misleading i think

Well, it's not stronger - but it is certainly dominated a lot less often by raiser's range...

J10 is better cuz you have less a chance of being dominated if he has a hand like AK or AK. But he is playing like he has AA-KK in which case youre screwed. At least A-10 you can have 3 outs on the KK FWIW

fold unless you really just dont care and that player has been loose with big raises

he must be ahead of OR's range

I don't think this is true at all in this case - I think you can make a good argument for pushing here but I think you are almost certainly behind his range

I used to think this way, but these days I'm wondering if I won't get a BIGGER edge by waiting an orbit or two, and if I do not pick up a big hand - I may open push with mediocre hand that will get called by a range against which I will have a lot more equity than ATs in this spot?

you don't think a strong player will do this with any two they were going to push for this very reason?

My initial reaction was that this meant strong too, but then I thought about it a bit and had no time bank and ended up shoving.

You don't think a weak or strong player can do this with a hand that he doesn't want floated or restolen, or as a way of generating further FE? Why put in half your stack here with QQ-AA?
