7 limpers to me in BB 9c6c...i check
Flop 9s 9h 6s....SB checks and i lead for 40.
All muck to SB(1300).i cover . He c/r to 140. I flat call.
Turn 5c. He leads for 200, i push. I know he has a nine. Good or raise 400-500 and wait for the river to get him in. Dont wanna scare him off u know [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I see no reason not to make sure he gets his money in by raising less.

I would pause for a while like you are contemplating then flatcall, he will feel pot commited for your push if bet into/$400 bet on if checked too

if bettor will stack with unimproved trips/no kicker then OP's line seems fine

i feel like i need to raise the turn because a 7 or 8 will kill my action. the player is bad, but good enough to lay down on the river if a bad card comes off.

this is a common difficult scenario. I prefer open pushing the flop (nuts = $, and everyone assumes you are full of [censored] so they will call w/ A high, and then when they see your boat they will be like damn lol i got punkd fh i only have A high i thought he was bluffing [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]) Plus you give him bad odds to draw to his 0%.
