Default Party 25/50

This one had me thinking
1st hour in my first session after a two week hiatus from world series.
utg(pf raiser) unknown 27/11/2 small sample
utg+1 unknown 28/6/1.25 small sample

With position, my plan was to bet/push a safe turn but with the given action I was confused.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($6731)
Hero ($4975)
SB ($14885)
BB ($2375)
UTG ($4167)
UTG+1 ($11385)
MP1 ($5247)
MP2 ($4061)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $25.
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $175</font>, UTG+1 calls $175, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, CO calls $175, Hero calls $175, SB (poster) calls $150, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($925) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $550</font>, UTG+1 calls $550, CO folds, Hero calls $550, SB folds.

Turn: ($2575) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $1700</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to $4000</font>,

Call/Push or Fold???
Is raising the flop a better line?

why you don't raise the flop is completely and utterly beyond me. it hurts me to think about it.

i would def raise the flop, getting it in here with 100bb stacks is fine imo. now for turn play...is utg+1 a thinking 28/6/1.25 or is he unimaginative and straightfoward? if he is the latter which i would assume he is if you don't know i think it's a good fold.

You played the hand well, fold the turn though.

Default Re: Party 25/50 Results

I folded turn thinking the only hand that utg+1 could reasonable have that I could beat was 22.

Of course, utg had AJ with the Ace of hearts and utg+1 had 22, river blank

Glad to hear that folding is the right play results aside
