Default River transparency

Posting this hand as a poll:

River: (13.66 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, MP raises, Hero ??.

Final Pot: 18.66 BB

Had no Stat reads, but felt he was a bit tighter and a bit passiver (post-mortem found he was a 30/3/0.5). I felt like my hand was very transparent. I suppose we could 3bet and fold to a cap but that might be going too far.

i just think there are enough worse flushes and other dumbo hands like one card straights to warrant 3-betting this even though you may miss out on the overcall. but because of the overcaller it is closer than it looks at first glance. definitely not one of those, "i have the 2nd nuts i raise" hands.

3 town all day. No folding to a cap either. He has way worse then you way to often to not 3-bet or to fold a K high flush.

After thinking about it more, I agree. I just called and was shown QJc. Thinking about it from another perspective, consider same action from the POV of the guy with QJc. Do you raise that river there? My stats at that table were 35/25/2.75 at the time (little more aggro than normal).

Yes and I cap too. You could have any 2 clubs here given pf or some moronically played 7 even after you 3-bet.

I don't know why I want to think so much about this hand. Clubs that you beat: T9 T7 T5 T3 T2 97 95 93 92 75 73 72 53 52. Clubs you beat that I check turn: T9 T7 97. If you think about it, I'm pretty sure I bet the turn with a lot of the smaller clubs because I have pair outs or straight outs that just came in.

I don't know. I'll see if I can find any other interesting hands.

wow. 3 betting or calling is close. but the real craziness here would be 3 betting and then folding to a cap. that would be a mathematical catastrophe.

3bet, call a cap, it's not close.

You realize that there are about 230 1 card straights on the river, and he will raise/call with everyone of them. And if the fish in the middle has two pair, he's calling too.
