Re: AK hand
Ok, good. What if SB check raised all in? Go all the way with TPTK for roughly 150 BB?

Re: AK hand
Just raise enough so that a small pair and suited connecters don't get the implied odds they need.
Sklansky and Miller tells us in their new book that AK is the best hand to get all-in with preflop, so just raise and don't be too scared to put your money in if needed. |

Ok, good. What if SB check raised all in? Go all the way with TPTK for roughly 150 BB? [/ QUOTE ] your first scenario (actual hand) looks fine. If you lost, well that is just poker. I might raise less on the flop (about 3X the initial better's size, or $43, is my standard line). scenario 2: if the small blind c/r allin, I find a fold unless the small blind is a maniac. You only have one pair. The small blind check-raised a pot-bet and a 4 time raiser of that pot bet. Initial pot better is pot committed. Still, the small blind goes over the top of the pot-committed initial better and you, the HERO, who showed strength preflop and on the flop.....YIKES! Small blind has to put you on at least AK and showed no fear. Run for the hills and fight another battle. |
