Default AKo on WCOOP Satellite bubble | 5 Seats - currently 6th of 7

Situation - WCOOP Sat - 7 remain, 5 get Seats, I'm currently 6th in chipstack and UTG in this hand.

Table Reads - Everyone is playing TAGGy push/fold poker, except for SB who seems to be oblivious of Sat dynamics and calling all-ins w middling hands - lucky for him he managed to win 2 races and 1 suckout in the last 10 mins.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP2 (t7659) M = 10
CO (t16841) M = 20+
Button (t8637) M = 11
SB (t5556) M = 7
BB (t10602) M = 14
Hero (t3250) M = 4
MP1 (t1455) M = 2

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

I push b/c you gotta win something in here or else you won't get in (or so it appears). Also, you should have more FE here than usual given that the two big stacks should not even remotely consider playing a hand.

I push and hope SB calls w/AX and I dominate him. Then I cruise into a seat.

FWIW - I'm not a Satellite player or expert, but I do know that there was a pretty complete Satellite thread floating around here last month. One of the Mods had some very good posts in it.

Why would you fold? You obviously are not expecting to fold into the win. Seems like an easy push to me.

This Is a push for sure, just suck it up and go with it. Your playing for a seat and dont have to many chips to consider folding. 2 people have to go out before you=

Actually, the question I really intended to ask, (and one that's prolly more interesting anyways) ...

What's your pushing range in this situation? Which ones do you push, and which ones fold?

I'd open fold. Pretty obvious you lost the hand & should have KNOWN better.

You cannot be seriously asking for the best line here.

if SB is likely to give away all his chips soon, then a fold isnt terrible, otherwise you have to push

If you're folding AKo, then what are the hands you're open pushing with? (FYI - just for the record, you're "pretty obvious" assumption is wrong)

Nevertheless, can you please describe your pushrange and the *rationale*?
