Default Help me Choose some Courses / Where can I get cheap Textbooks Online?

filling out my final schedule nowish (i procrastinate a lot) still need to plug in 2 more courses that satisfy college's general education requirements. i plan to be a biochem major, so obv i enjoy/am strong in things like bio, chem, and math. i hate writing papers and term papers and reading books and [censored] like that with a passion, hence why my major fits me so well, all i deal with is numbers and labs. anyway, which of the following courses should i take, u guys can rank them. what courses do u KNOW suck or which ones are MUST takes. whatever, just give input and add your thoughts on the courses or whatever is helpful. thanks in advance.

courses:
african studies
anthropology (i honestly don't even know what anthropology is to begin with, what is it)
german, french, portugese or italian (not required, but languages are easy/useful)
communication studies
computer science
environmental studies
psychology
sociology

itkeep in mind that i'd take all these as introductory or near introductory

also, i probably waste copious amounts of money on worthless stuff, but for once i just don't feel like buying books through the school and then discarding them afterwards, if someone just happens to know a good site for purchasing textbooks online cheaper then include it

Find out about really good professors. The professor is more important than the content of the course. At UCLA we have www.bruinwalk.com where everyone rates their professors and writes comments about the courses and what not. I imagine other schools have something equivalent.

Those classes all depend immensely on the professor. I really want to learn Italian though, so I'll say that. I have no idea how helpful that'd be for a biochem major though.

Try half.com. You can buy books and then put them up for sale at around the same price at the end of the term.
