$27 tough QQ bubble hand
CO is on a few of my tables his range here is wide and he is not folding if I call or if I fold. SB is probably on like 55+,A9+,KQ or something like that.
PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t600 with t50 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com CO (t2765) Button (t3935) SB (t5160) Hero (t1640) Preflop: Hero is in BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] CO raises to t1800, Button folds, SB raises to t3000, Hero?? |

Re: $27 tough QQ bubble hand
You have to call. You have a great chance to triple up and go for first. If you fold and CO survives, you're down to 1BB and will probably be swatted away in the next orbit.

Re: $27 tough QQ bubble hand
If that range is correct for SB (seems loose), I think this is a pretty easy call. You pick up almost twice as much equity when you triple up as when you fold and CO loses his stack and you lose an enormous amount when you fold and CO/SB switch chip-stacks. You also gain more equity when you triple up than you lose when you bust. SB has to stack CO a ridiculous amount of the time for folding to be correct (I think, the exact math is more than I feel like doing at the moment, though I threw some numbers at SNGPT/Pokerstove to get an idea).

Re: $27 tough QQ bubble hand
Ok I did some math based on the hand ranges I assigned for them. If I fold and co busts then I gain 8.4%. This will happen about 58% of the time, if co doubles I lose about 4.5% or so which will happen the remaining 42% of the time so my fold ev would be 18.4% of the prize pool or + 3.03%.
My hand wins about 54% of the time against both of there ranges. I will have approx 34.5% of the prizepool when this happens(I will have more or less depending upon if sb beats co when I call but I just used this as the average) and 0% the rest of the time so I would have 18.63% of the prizepool by calling. I guess this hand is pretty meh either way as both decisions are so close and are both more thne +3% ev. |

Re: $27 tough QQ bubble hand
Your chip position forces you to call with such a strong hand.

Re: $27 tough QQ bubble hand
Without running things, I think this is a push with such short stacks and QQ.
I trust laser's analysis, and pushing should be good, though you clearly need to fold everything that is not AA-QQ here. |
