Default Is FR NL dead?

I've been focusing on my limit game recently, but with the coming of September, live NL games are once again becoming more popular in my area. So I checked in here to re-acquiant myself with some NL strategy and it turns out that [virtually] every strat post is for a 6-max game.

Am I in the wrong forum?

If not, may I propose that thread titles clearly identify either 6m or FR to help avoid confusion? I doubt there's enough traffic for a forum split...

Fortunately, live FR often plays a lot like online 6-max

You know this is true this forum is 65% 6 MAX, this is good and bad(i am FR myself ) alot of these posts are 6 max and alot of the stickys are to but most can be applied to both. But the best thing is i know with FR that when i get higher all you guys are at 6 MAX so wont be up against to many 2+2 ers. Honestly if i didnt think i would lose out on sooo much info from the great posters here i would suggesting spliting this forum in 2. Meh!

I play full-ring at OnGame. There is still plenty of game selection at bigger sites (although iPoker seems to be really 6-max-dominated).

But I have noticed the strategy posts here tend to be primarily 6-max.

most full ring situations are nitty and/or boring

6-max puts one on the edge much more, hence more posts about tough spots

furthermore, many posters here are smart cookies who look to be making money quickly now and developing their games faster. 6max scores good on both counts.

The 6 max posts help a lot with my post flop play (I play FR). Although sometimes it takes a little bit to equate certain situations to FR from 6max. Also it seems at times the advice is repeatedly PSB flop, push turn

It can be nitty in FR games, but those players are easier to manipulate and there are enough loose weak players to make it worth while. I've only played up to $25NL at the moment but there are enough idiots out there to sustain a good win rate.

You just have to remember that online you have to wait for the action. Sexy moves don't always come off because of the calling stations. But I feel your hand reading improves and if you watch your opponents and make notes this will improve your play.

On these forums there is a lot to learn about the game and making a differentiation about 6max and FR will mean you miss a lot of good points to add to your game. Also, trying to translate some advice from a game that is different to your usual game helps you think about your game differently and hopefully it will shed a new light on your poker knowledge (one reason why it is worth learning other games than just hold'em).

I think that you are right about labelling subject headers better but then the Mods have placed a sticky about doing such things. This is a high volume forum and unfortunately these things happen.
