We have a disagreement on whether this is a good play or not. Can you settle the argument?

Villian here seems to be one of the tigher players at the table. Have not seen him raise PF much at all. Too few hands to draw large conclusions though. Maybe I should just fold pre-flop (but I like to defend in position).
