I just closed a few months ago and even though I paid for the down payment in poker winnings, I still had to show a substantial income.

My wife and I make a combinded 77K a year plus my poker winnings, and it was still close to get a 90K home loan.

I'm surprised that it was close. We clearly don't have the whole picture here like credit score, other debt, % down payment, whether your poker winnings are documented or not.

anyhow... yes, careers are +EV.

What you need is some [censored] job that offers a computer and internet access, then you can play cards at work while collecting benefits etc.

This would be a good job while you are a student.

My first year of college I had a work study job in one of the small computer labs around the campus and worked like 20 hours a week and got to play online poker all day and didn't have to worry about poker to pay the bills that I had.

i live in maryland and plan to move to the dc area. there are no casinos around here

Why would you want to move to the DC area? I think you should plan to live in your parents' basement until the doctor is able to surgically isolate your face from your rectum. Good luck.
