Re: Foxwoods Omaha 8/b
If you think winning between $200-$300 in one night is a good score, then the Foxwoods Omaha 4/8 w/ .5 kill, is a good game. It's typically loose, 8 to 9 people to see the flop.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] theres a regular 4/8 game that spreads. [/ QUOTE ] Eh, playing 4/8 Omaha 8 is like kissing a hot cousin. It may be fun, but really doesn't get you anywhere. After all the chop pots, slow game, high rake, ect...It's just not worth it under 10/20. [/ QUOTE ] I can't even imagine playing stud high live for any reasonable amount of time, low limit O8 would blow my mind but then again I'm not a big fan of live play to begin withi. [/ QUOTE ] you dont need to tell me what its like playing stud live.. its like pulling out finger nails.. but i have raked out so much money from that 20/40 stud game its silly, not to mention the 75 every so often. |

Re: Foxwoods Omaha 8/b
No one has mentioned it yet but the 4/8 O8 game is played with a half kill - I think on scoops >$100.
Bill/Tom, how often does the 20/40 stud run? what is the ante/bring in structure? 10/20 is 1 and 3 right? how soft is the 20 compared to the 10 if either of you know? I've heard the 75 can be the best game in the house. I've played the 10/20 a couple of times and it has been stupid soft. I once bet sixth with (A5)A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] after betting the whole way against a guy with an obvious pair to start -- the entire table chastised me for 20 mins about betting sixth street there - "he can't call you and you just blew your chance at a jacket" well let's see should I give him about 75 outs to beat me in like a $150 pot or take a ~30:1 shot for the ugliest jacket ever made..... hmmmmmmmm yeah bad bet. |

Tom, I'm exactly the opposite. I have about 15 online poker accounts and probably don't use more than 1 or 2 for 30 minutes a month. Online poker literally bores the crap out of me. I'd rather be in a casino. [/ QUOTE ] Amen to that, the O/8 at Foxwoods was 5-10 with a full kill, but i guess it must of changed. In the early mornings you would find grumpy old men playing this, i was the youngest at 44. At night it plays much smoother, on the weekends there are a lot of kill pots. Still a good game all in all. |

Re: Foxwoods Omaha 8/b
Damn I was hoping it was at least 5/10 with a kill or 10/20 with a kill...I played a 5/10 with a kill at the Mirage in Vegas in Dec. 2004 and I made $1300 in 12 hours...It was printing money...I was 26 at the time and I had to be the youngest in the game by a good 30 years...
A 4/8 kill game does seem a little thin, anybody know why they don't spread 5/10 any more? No interest?? |

Re: Foxwoods Omaha 8/b
That's a great question. I would have made some wisecrack about the 18-year-olds not having a big enough allowance to play in the 5/10/kill game, but the truth is, they're all over at the 1/2 NL tables anyway.
WTF knows? I'm gonna miss the 5/10 game. |

Re: Foxwoods Omaha 8/b
The last time I was up at Foxwoods was like 2 years ago and they were spreading 2/4, 5/10, and 10/20...I was just killing time waiting for a friend so I only sat 2/4 but the 5/10 game looked JUUUUUUUUICY!!!

Re: Foxwoods Omaha 8/b
It was. I didn't care what other games were going. If my name came up for the 5/10 game, I was there before the second call. Sometimes spilling chips as I picked up from another game.
