Default Lotsa overcards party 15/30 JJ donkatron

Party 15/30 8 handed. I know villain is a 2plus2'er, and a presumed TAG/uber TAG, somewhere in the 19/13/2ish range.

I open J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG+1, villain 3 bets from cutoff.

Flop is K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I check and villain instabets. Turn is the Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and I donk, intending to fold to a raise. Thoughts?

What exactly do you want him to fold?

You should cap preflop. JJ is great. If ou have a small penis like me, you have to cap moand 3bet more, so people take you more seriously.

Anyways, after you cap its like lead lead folding to a raise along the way.

being taken seriously is a crucial element to middle stakes poker. people need to respect you as an excellent player otherwise peril, nuclear destruction and radio decay lie at your feet.

Good question. That turn led to me losing a back door flush draw (which obviously had minimal value on the flop, but anyway...). I felt fairly comfortable bet/folding a fairly small pot where a worse hand was unlikely to pop the turn. I didn't want to check/call and hope he didn't fire the last barrel on the river with a worse hand.

Bottom line, check/folding felt weak and check/call turn check/call or fold river felt super weak. I felt like betting the turn disenabled him from outplaying/outpositioning me with 77-TT.

if you arent too worried about being bluffed off the best hand, then i think the donk is great for a few reasons.

its a really bad idea to give a hand like AJ a free card drawing to 7 outs. if he raises the turn and youre convinced this means he has a better hand, then you save a bet that you would have had to paid had you went cc cc instead.

i think the turn donk is good mostly for the reason of preventing a free card to AJ, but its close and dependant on the likelyhood of me getting bluffed off my hand along with the likelyhood that hell follow through this turn with hands like AJ.

if i didnt have any reads on the opponent id check the turn since 19/13/2 type players are dangerously capable of doing anything at any time.
